And believe us, it’s not a dog and owner scenario. One look in those big, beautiful eyes and that puppy becomes your best friend for life.

Here, we’ll list our latest puppies for adoption. You can expect a new litter once or twice a year. While that may not seem like much, responsible breeders limit the number of litters per year to keep the mother and puppies healthier. Contact us at any time to see when we anticipate a new litter and to register your interest.

Born At Home

Just because German Shepherds are large dogs, it doesn’t mean they have to live outside. While we let ours run around outside, we keep them inside along with the rest of the family. This means all of our German Shepherd puppies are born indoors in a safe, temperature controlled environment. You don’t have to worry about puppies trying to deal with the heat or cold in an outdoor kennel.

Another reason to opt for puppies born in a home environment is they’re more social. They experience human contact from day one. Plus, they come from parents that have always known the love and affection of humans. This leads to more social and friendly puppies.

Vet Stamp Of Approval

Outside of how puppies are treated by a breeder, the next most important thing is having the pups checked by a veterinarian. Having checkups isn’t a sign that a litter is unhealthy. In fact, it ensures they are healthy. The best way to prevent problems is to check for early signs regularly.

We provide you with full vet records with your puppy. We don’t require you to use our same vet. Actually, we prefer you to use you own vet as you already have a great relationship with them.

Our veterinarian performs general wellness checks such as:

  • Weight
  • Temperature
  • Listening to heart and lungs
  • Examining teeth
  • Examining the coat and entire body
  • Check for worms (it’s normal for puppies to have worms, but they need to be treated early to prevent any serious issues)

If you’ve owned a puppy before, you probably already know that puppies require a series of three to four shots. The AKC actually recommends five rounds. We’ll start the vaccines and you’ll need to continue with your chosen vet to ensure your puppy stays healthy.

The required vaccines for a healthy German Shepherd puppy include:

  • Canine distemper – It’s a highly contagious and deadly disease and puppies are the most vulnerable. The first vaccine is given anywhere from 6-8 weeks of age. They’ll need a booster every 3-4 weeks until they’re 14-16 weeks old. Your vet will let you know when to come back for each.
  • Canine parvovirus – This is another highly contagious disease. If the mother isn’t vaccinated, it could prove fatal to the puppies. (All of our dogs are up to date on vaccines.) This vaccine occurs between 6-8 weeks.
  • Canine adenovirus – This viral disease often occurs when dogs are cramped together, such as puppy mills and pet stores. It can be fatal without being vaccinated around 6-8 weeks of age.
  • Parasites – Heartworms and roundworms aren’t that uncommon and puppies are extremely susceptible. Early deworming is the perfect way to stop the worms before they become a problem.
  • Rabies – It’s an incurable disease, but one that’s easily preventable. Your vet should give the first rabies shot around three months. You’ll need a booster usually once a year, though some shots last for more than a year.

We take care of the initial wellness visits and the first rounds of vaccines. We’ll give you all the details you need to continue your new German Shepherd puppy’s vet care. It might seem like a lot of visits at first, but you’ll be glad you did.

AKC Registered

Finally, our beautiful German Shepherd puppies are all AKC registered. This means you’ll know from day one that their parents are both registered German Shepherds and you’re bringing home a purebred German Shepherd puppy. We’ll provide you with all the necessary paperwork to prove your puppy’s bloodline.

Owning a German Shepherd puppy is a rewarding experience. Working with us means you get a healthy AKC registered puppy from a loving home that’s eager to join your family.
