First, let us welcome you into our family. Much like you, we’re animal lovers, but we have a special love for German Shepherds.
There’s just something special and majestic about these beautiful creatures and we want to be able to share that 
love with wonderful families like yours.
One of the things we love about German Shepherds is how they make a family whole, even if you have a variety of furry or feathery relatives. Right now, we’re the proud parents of a black and red female German Shepherd, two Boston Terriers, a cockatoo and a cat. Oh yeah, and we also have kids. Believe it or not, everyone gets along wonderfully.
Putting Puppies First
It’s our love for German Shepherds and animals in general that makes us different than the rest. We don’t believe in puppy mills or constant breeding. It’s just not healthy for any of the animals.
We’ve seen the results of puppy mills and it’s truly horrible. It’s just one of the many reasons we’ve chosen to go a different route and ensure families get German Shepherds that are healthy and happy. Some of the issues we work to avoid that you’ll find in a puppy mill include:
- Behavioral problems – Dogs are kept in tiny cages and rarely socialize with humans. This makes them distrustful and difficult to train.
- Anxiety, even after years of being with a family
- Growth issues – Being kept in cages and raised in filth can stunt their growth
- Trouble sleeping
- Aggression towards people and other animals
Sadly, many of these dogs end up back in shelters because owners aren’t able to control them. It’s not the dog’s fault, but this is why we hate puppy mills and encourage you to avoid them at all costs.
Another issue we saw with many German Shepherd breeders was they kept their females bred all the time. Yes, this does lead to many more litters and available puppies. But, shouldn’t it be about quality over quantity? And what about the females?

How We’re Different
We don’t consider ourselves full-time breeders. Think about how difficult pregnancy is for humans. Now, imagine spending the majority of your life pregnant. This is what many female German Shepherds are put through just for the sake of a few more litters a year. It’s taxing on them and can shorten their lives.
Plus, breeding too often can result in unhealthy puppies. Breeders don’t have the time to ensure the bloodlines are healthy in an attempt to get as many puppies as possible.
We take a much different approach. We love our females and want them to live long, happy and healthy lives. This is why we take our time with the breeding process to ensure we only use the highest-quality bloodlines. We only have one or two litters a year, but it’s much easier on the mothers and healthier for the puppies.
